Well, I started a new job at the beginning of fall, and am starting to gain my bearings a little with that. It’s paperwork and numbers, but I enjoy it.
In addition…
We’ve been moving. Much slower than I’d like, but there’s only so many hours in the day I can juggle all. the. things. This is my [adult] parlour and office. Including all things Angry Moose. (So many things!)
Above is before. I got those awkward shelves up on my walls, all by myself.
Below, slightly more put together. Whole house is still a work in progress. But it’s bright and cozy, so lovely.
What cracks me up is that the kids have a whole family room in the basement. With the PlayStation and big tv (with working audio). Yet 80% of the time, they gravitate up to this little room of mine upstairs. To curl up in a corner or on the couch with a book or Kindle, use the computer on my desk (formerly a dining table, the heirloom from my grandma and great great grandma), do homework or crafts on the coffee table, you name it. Sometimes it’s aggravating. But then I step back, and realize it’s adorable that they want to hang out together/with me. The cozy natural gas fireplace I’m sure helps a little, too.
Anywho, it’s been a quiet flurry of activity. Lots of pans in the fire.
