$108.25 later…

Normal people go to the mall to shop.  Nope, not me.

Butternut and acorn squash in the top left, apples all in the middle, beets in the green mess at the top, and tomatoes in various shades of ripeness (to be sorted tomorrow) on the bottom.

The beets after I trimmed them.  I’ll be trying a recipe with some later – beets with feta – and possibly pickling the rest of them if I can find a good recipe.

Under $30.  That’s right.  Six shirts, two jeans and a sweatshirt for the 7yo, winter boots for the 4yo, two sets of pajamas for the 2yo, and Little House on the Prairie.  That’s how I roll, and there’s another consignment sale next weekend.  Hopefully the babe will be less cranky next time.

Then I came home to this.  Yup, that’s my dining table.  That’s what happens with free-range kids I suppose.

Awwww.
